The Pittsburgh Penguins won a pivotal Game 4 to take a 3-1 series lead over the Philadelphia Flyers but couldn’t close things out in Game 5.
The Penguins had home ice yet couldn’t put the puck in the goal, falling to the rival Flyers, 3-0.
Marty Biron was spectacular in net for the Flyers, and he really is the difference between wins and losses.
He got a lot of help from his defensive buddies as well, who put the clamps on Pittsburgh’s quick skaters.
Game 6 shifts back to Philadelphia, where the Penguins have split two games in the series so far.

The Pittsburgh Penguins took care of business in the first two games of their first round playoff series against the rival Philadelphia Flyers, including an exhilerating overtime win in Game 2.
It’s a fantastic series to watch simply from the standpoint of the bitter rivalry between the two teams that both play in the same state.
The two teams essentially split the state in half, especially when considering where each respective city is geographically located, with one in the eastern part of the state and the other from the western part.
It sets up that intriguing battle in the middle of central Pennsylvania for allegiance to one fan base or the other, though I believe most in that area are Penguins supporters.
While the Flyers are down 2-0 in the series, they now have the advantage of returning to Philadelphia and playing in the friendly confines of the Wachovia Center. They have played Pittsburgh tough the first two games and this series seems far from over.
