Penguins snap lose streak
The Penguins snapped a five game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers, Tuesday, Jan 6. Petr Sykora contributed with his two goal performance on the night. The win came with a cost as well when forward Ruslan Fedotenko had to leave the game after reportedly breaking a bone in his hand after a fight with Atlanta’s Colby Armstrong. Fedotenko gave the Penguins an extra boost when his punch knocked Armstrong — a former Penguin — to the ice just 1:27 into the game.
The Penguins look to continue their win streak against the Nashville Predators, Jan. 8.
